The HPE JL293A (also branded as HPE X190) is a hot-pluggable SFP28 transceiver module engineered for high-speed, short-reach multimode fiber links. Supporting up to 25.78 Gb/s data rate over duplex LC connectors, it transmits using an 850 nm VCSEL laser for reliable 25GBASE-SR Ethernet connectivity, delivering up to 100 m on OM4 and approximately 70 m on OM3 multimode fiber. The module is MSA-compliant, operates on a 3.3 V single power supply drawing under 1 W, and includes integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time performance insights. Built to meet SFF-8432, IEEE 802.3by, and RoHS standards, it supports commercial temperature ranges (0–70 °C) and ensures seamless compatibility with HPE networking devices.
