The Dell NG4VX is a dual‑port 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ network adapter built around a high-performance controller (Solarflare SFN8742 or equivalent), designed for installation in PCIe 3.1 ×8 slots in Dell PowerEdge or similar enterprise servers. Each SFP+ port supports fiber optic (SR/LR) or DAC cable connectivity, offering ultra-low latency and industry-grade reliability. It delivers advanced capabilities such as SR‑IOV virtualization support, hardware-based timestamping (PTP) for precise synchronization, TCP/UDP checksum and segmentation offloads, flow steering, and optional Onload acceleration—making it well-suited for virtualization, low-latency trading systems, storage networks, and high-speed data center workloads.
