Storage Capacity

The Cisco NM-CEM-4TE1 is a single-wide, hot-pluggable network module that provides four T1/E1 ports (via RJ-48C connectors) for Cisco routers, enabling circuit emulation over IP (CEoIP). Capable of operating as either four full or fractional T1 (1.544 Mbps) or E1 (2.048 Mbps) channels (but not a mix), it supports features like adaptive clocking, dejitter buffering (up to ±250 ms tolerance), and configurable idle patterns for robust telecom integration over IP networks. Designed for legacy service migration, it fits routers in the 2600, 3600, 3700, 3800 series, and others, with environmental specs such as operating temperatures from 0–40 °C, up to 10 W power consumption, and LEDs for link activity and alarm indications. It has been discontinued by Cisco (end-of-sale April 1, 2010) though still supported under service agreements.
