The HPE JG409A (MSR3012 AC) is a compact 1U rack-mount Gigabit Ethernet router offering three fixed 10/100/1000Base-T RJ‑45 ports (configurable as LAN or WAN), one fixed combo 1 GbE RJ‑45/SFP port, one console/AUX port, and dual USB 2.0 ports for cellular modem backup or storage. Featuring a single full-height HMIM slot and two SIC module slots, it supports advanced routing protocols (IPv4/IPv6 static, OSPF, BGP, RIP), MPLS, VPN encryption (up to ~1 Gbps), firewall/NAT, QoS, VLANs, and comprehensive network services via HPE Comware v7. Powered by a multicore RISC CPU with up to 5 Mpps forwarding, it includes VPN throughput up to 3.3 Gbps, and optional redundant power support—delivering resilient, scalable connectivity tailored for medium to large branch environments.
