The HPE JF228A (MSR20‑40) is a compact 1U rack-mount multi-service router featuring two auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps RJ‑45 WAN ports, up to 8 LAN ports when configured with Smart Interface Cards (SIC), and support for up to 10 expansion module slots. Powered by a 400 MHz RISC processor with 256 MB SDRAM and flash, it delivers up to 180 Kpps forwarding performance, supports IPv4/IPv6 routing, MPLS, VPN, firewall, QoS, and advanced protocols like OSPF and BGP under Comware/Comware‑based OS. Ideal for secure small-branch or enterprise-grade WAN deployments, it also offers cellular backup, voice DSP modules, and centralized management via IMC, delivering resilient services in a modular and cost-effective footprint.
