The Cisco PVDM3-64 is a high-density voice and video DSP (Digital Signal Processor) module designed for Cisco ISR 2900 and 3900 Series routers, providing support for up to 64 low-complexity codec channels such as G.711, 42 medium-complexity channels, or 28 high-complexity channels. It enables advanced voice features including conferencing, transcoding, and TDM-to-IP voice processing, with built-in echo cancellation, jitter buffering, and universal transcoding across multiple codecs. Using a compact 240-pin DIMM form factor, the PVDM3-64 offers scalable, field-upgradeable performance within the PVDM3 family, making it ideal for unified communications deployments that require flexibility, reliability, and high channel density.
