The Cisco ASA5505-BUN-K9 is a compact, desktop-class Firewall and VPN appliance tailored for small businesses or remote offices. It includes an integrated 8-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet switch—featuring 2 PoE ports—and supports deployment of up to 10 users by default. With built-in firewall, IPsec VPN (up to 10 peers), and SSL VPN (2 concurrent users, expandable), it achieves firewall throughput of up to 150 Mbps and VPN throughput around 100 Mbps. The device also supports VLAN segmentation (up to three without trunking, or twenty with trunking), a USB interface for advanced services, and an optional Security Services Card slot for enhanced threat defense. It’s managed easily via Cisco’s ASDM (adaptive security device manager) for user-friendly setup and operations.
