The Juniper MPC2E-3D-NG is a powerful, hot-pluggable modular port concentrator designed for MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers (such as MX240, MX480, MX960, MX2010). Delivered as a two-slot line card, it features Junos Trio chipsets, an upgraded CPU and memory, and delivers line-rate throughput up to 80 Gbps. It supports both WAN-PHY (9.95 Gbps) and LAN-PHY (10.31 Gbps) operational modes, accommodates two Modular Interface Cards (MICs), and offers full feature parity with legacy MPC1E/2E platforms—including L2/L2.5 and select L3 functions. Optional hierarchical QoS (HQoS) with up to 32,000 port queues is available via license. Note, it requires SCBE-MX or SCBE2-MX switch fabric fans and high-capacity airflow components to operate effectively.v
