The Cisco N2K-C2348UPQ-10GE, part of the Nexus 2300 platform, is a high-performance fabric extender module providing 48 unified host ports (supporting 1 or 10 GbE via SFP/SFP+ transceivers) and up to six 40 GbE QSFP+ uplinks to parent Nexus switches, delivering up to 240 Gbps one-way (480 Gbps full duplex) switching capacity. With hardware forwarding capabilities reaching approximately 2160 million packets per second, a shared 32 MB buffer, and support for advanced features like FCoE, Data Center Bridging (DCB), jumbo frames, VLANs, QoS, and Fabric Extender management via parent switches, it delivers scalable and reliable connectivity in dense data center environments. Hot-swappable power and fan modules support flexible airflow, and it integrates into Nexus 5000, 6000, 7000, and 9000 switch architectures.
