The Cisco C6800-8P10G is a high-performance, hot-pluggable switch module engineered for the Catalyst 6800 family (including the 6807-XL chassis), featuring eight 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports via SFP+/SFP (mini-GBIC) or QSFP+ interfaces and backed by a hardware-accelerated DFC4 distributed forwarding card. It delivers up to 80 Gbps backplane bandwidth, supports line-rate forwarding of up to ~60 Mpps, and handles advanced features like QoS, multicast, jumbo frames, large MAC tables (128k entries), NetFlow, ACLs, and RMON. Compatible with Supervisor Engines 2T/2TXL and 6T/6TXL, it offers deployment versatility, scalability for Virtual Switching System (VSS), and robust forwarding in core and aggregation networks.
