The Cisco AIR-PWRINJ6 is a wall-mountable Power over Ethernet injector designed to power select Aironet access points, including the 1810 OfficeExtend and 1810W models. It delivers up to 30 W of power (IEEE 802.3at compliant, backward-compatible with 802.3af at 15.4 W) and passes Gigabit Ethernet data over standard Cat5e or higher cabling—providing a plug-and-play power solution when PoE switches are unavailable. Featuring a built-in AC power supply (100–240 V), two RJ-45 connectors (Data In and Data + Power Out), and a status LED for easy monitoring, it enables flexible AP deployment without running separate power lines. It supports up to 100 m reach, is not weatherproof (indoor-only), and is ideal for OfficeExtend setups or legacy environments lacking PoE infrastructure
