The HPE P28779‑B21, also marketed under HPE SKUs P28778‑B21 or P10097‑B21, is a compact Open Compute Project 3.0 (OCP 3.0) mezzanine network adapter powered by the Intel X710‑DA2 controller, offering two SFP+ ports capable of 10 GbE speeds using fiber or DAC cables. It connects via a PCIe 3.0 ×8 interface and supports a wide suite of enterprise-grade offload features such as TCP/UDP checksum offloads, LSO/GSO, VLAN tagging, jumbo frame support, iSCSI offload, PXE boot, along with SR‑IOV, VMDq, and DPDK virtualization acceleration. Designed for HPE Gen10/Gen11 servers with OCP mezzanine slots (e.g., ProLiant DL360/380, etc.), it delivers flexible, low‑latency 10 GbE connectivity with minimal CPU overhead and supports full-speed operation at just ~2.9 W per port
