The HPE JH691A (FlexNetwork 5940 2‑Slot Switch Chassis) is a high-performance, 1U rack-mountable Layer 3 switch chassis designed for data center and aggregation-layer deployments, featuring two modular expansion slots for flexibility in deploying QSFP+ or other high-speed uplink modules. With non-blocking, low-latency switching (<1 µs for 10 GbE), it delivers up to 1,071 Mpps forwarding and 1.44 Tbps switching capacity. The chassis supports advanced enterprise features such as VXLAN, EVPN, OpenFlow, IRF for stacking up to nine units, jumbo frames up to 10,000 bytes, and robust IPv4/IPv6 routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and RIP. It also includes dual hot-swappable power supplies, redundant fan trays with reversible airflow, and industry-standard management interfaces—making it ideal for scalable, high-density networking scenarios.
