The Cisco Meraki MX105-HW is a high-performance, 1U rack-mounted security and SD-WAN appliance tailored for large branch deployments of up to 750 users. It includes four WAN uplinks—comprising two 10 GbE SFP+ ports and two 2.5 GbE RJ-45 ports (one with PoE+)—as well as four 1 GbE RJ-45 LAN ports and two 10 GbE SFP+ LAN ports. This platform supports up to 3 Gbps of stateful firewall throughput, 1 Gbps VPN throughput, and offers advanced security capabilities like Layer 7 application firewalling, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS), Advanced Malware Protection (AMP with Threat Grid), content filtering, and Auto VPN—all centrally managed via Meraki’s cloud dashboard.
