The Cisco FPR4120-NGFW-K9 is a high-performance, 1U rack-mount Next-Generation Firewall appliance within Cisco’s Firepower 4100 Series, featuring 8 fixed 10 GbE SFP+ ports and 2 network module expansion slots for flexible I/O scaling (such as optional 40 Gb QSFP+ or additional SFP+ modules). Powered by dual Xeon processors, 128 GB DDR4 memory, and a 200 GB SSD, this appliance delivers best-in-class security with firewall throughput up to 40 Gbps (full proxy) and 20 Gbps firewall + AVC, or 15 Gbps with firewall, AVC, and NGIPS enabled. Designed for scalability and resilience, it supports millions of concurrent connections, thousands of security contexts, and integrates seamlessly into Cisco’s centralized management platforms like FMC, or via local management with ASDM.
