The Cisco C6800-48P-SFP is a modular Ethernet line card designed for the Catalyst 6800 series (e.g., 6807-XL), delivering 48 flexible SFP/SFP+ ports—supporting 1 GbE or 10 GbE depending on the installed transceivers—on a high-performance Distributed Forwarding Card (DFC4) platform. It provides scalable connectivity with line-rate forwarding up to 60 Mpps for L2, IPv4, and MPLS traffic, and 30 Mpps for IPv6, while maintaining compatibility with existing copper or fiber infrastructure via pluggable optics (up to 80 km reach). Designed for enterprise aggregation and core deployments, this hot-swappable module occupies one slot, supports QoS, jumbo frames, VLANs, and integrates seamlessly with Supervisor Engines 2T/2TXL
