The EnGenius ESR‑1221 EXT (also known as ESR‑1221) is a high‑power 802.11b/g (11G) mini‑router offering up to 54 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band with a detachable SMA antenna (2 dBi) for extended range. Featuring a built‑in 4‑port 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet switch, it supports NAT/NAPT, static routing, DHCP, PPTP/PPPoE WAN connection, DDNS, port forwarding, QoS for VoIP/video, firewall controls including MAC/IP filtering, DoS protection, DMZ, parental web filtering, and universal repeater/WDS modes. The device is configured via a user‑friendly web interface and includes features like WEP/WPA/WPA2 encryption, 802.1x support, VPN pass‑through, and auto setup wizard—making it versatile for small home or SOHO use where long‑range coverage and basic routing/firewall capability are needed
