The Cisco UCSC‑PCIE‑QNICSFP, based on the QLogic QLE8442 chipset, is a dual‑port 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ NIC designed to deliver high-speed 10GBase‑X fiber connectivity via two SFP+ interfaces. As a PCIe 3.0 ×8 low‑profile plug‑in card, it supports advanced features including iSCSI and FCoE offload, switch‑independent NIC partitioning (NPAR), jumbo frames, VLAN tagging, DCBX/DCB support, flow control, SR‑IOV virtualization, LSO/LRO/TSO offloads, RSS and PXE boot capability—with modest power consumption (~7–8 W). Although no longer in mainstream production, it remains widely used in Cisco UCS systems, Dell, HP, and other servers where converged 10 GbE connectivity and efficient CPU offloading are needed in legacy data center infrastructures
