The Cisco Meraki MX100-HW security and SD-WAN appliance is a 1U, cloud-managed rack-mount platform optimized for distributed environments. It features eight Gigabit RJ-45 LAN ports, two Gigabit SFP uplink slots, a dedicated management port, a USB port for cellular failover, and one dual-purpose RJ-45 port that can be assigned as either a secondary LAN or WAN interface . Notably, it does not include two SFP+ LAN ports as previously described. The MX100 delivers around 750 Mbps stateful firewall throughput and integrates advanced security services such as Auto VPN, content filtering, intrusion prevention, MPLS SD-WAN, and cloud-based management.
